Clear up a misunderstanding
What was meant, and what was heard.
Three ways to start
- A messageRead differently from how it was meant.First step: Write what I meant in one line.
- Who does whatAn arrangement understood two ways.First step: Note what each of us thinks was agreed.
- A maybe heard as a yesA possibility taken as a promise.First step: Write down what I said, as closely as I remember.
An example only fills in a draft: change anything before you start the plan, or describe your own in a sentence.
How it works in UpWill
- Start from an example, or describe the plan in your own words; UpWill finds the kind that fits and fills in what you said.
- Set it up one question at a time, and choose a first step.
- Speak or write about your day. Clear updates go to the plan with Undo; when something isn't clear, UpWill asks first.
- Keep your words now, with their earlier versions. What you prepare, practise privately and try for real shows as a dated trail, with the other person's answers kept apart: a record, never a score.
- After you try it for real, one optional question: what would you keep or change? Deciding not to go ahead is a choice you can record too.
