Notion and UpWill can both hold your goals. Notion gives you building blocks to design your own system; UpWill gives you a planning companion that's ready, and fills itself in from what you say.
What Notion does well
Notion is a workspace of pages and databases. With templates or your own design you can build a goal dashboard, a habit table, a reading list or a team wiki, and share it with others. If you enjoy shaping a system to fit exactly how you think, it's very flexible.
What UpWill does differently
- No system to build. Describe what you'd like to make possible in a sentence; UpWill finds the kind of plan that fits and opens its setup with what you said filled in, one question at a time.
- Updates from your day, not from forms. Speak or write a note ("set aside 50 for the trip") and the update goes to the right plan, with Undo. Unclear notes get a question instead of a guess.
- One page per plan. The figure that matters, a line toward the goal, the next step and one action; the details sit under More.
- Made for a phone. Hold the microphone and talk; your words appear as you speak.
Which one to use
Choose Notion if you want to build and share your own system, or plan with a team. Choose UpWill if you'd rather keep your own plans current by talking about your day, and see the next step without maintaining a database.
Using both
Notion pages exported as Markdown can be imported into UpWill as notes (Settings → Import notes), each with its date. UpWill also works from Claude and Grok: add a note or look at your week in a conversation.
